BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University softball (6-18, 1-0 Conference USA) last played on March 21. It was the 2021 C-USA season opener and the first of an eventual four-game conference series between FAU and FIU (8-14, 0-1 C-USA). That contest saw the Owls come away with an 8-0 six-inning win over their in-state rival FIU, playing on the Panthers' home field. It also was the second time the two teams have met in 2021 with FIU winning the first, 7-5, in a non-conference matchup.
This Thursday and Friday, the two teams will complete the four-game conference slate and will do so in Boca Raton with a doubleheader scheduled for Thursday and a single game on tap for Friday. Thursday's doubleheader is scheduled for 5 p.m. and Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

- The Owls are No. 6 nationally in doubles with 0.67 per game and No. 1 among C-USA members
- FAU is No. 41 nationally in triples per game with 0.29 and No. 1 among C-USA members
- Individually, Cunningham is No. 8 nationally with four triples
- Cunningham and Berthiaume are No. 12 and No. 118 with 0.18 and 0.10 triples per gameÂ
