BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (6-4) is scheduled to play their last four regular season matches on the road. At the conclusion of that gauntlet, FAU will travel to Denton, Texas where they will participate in the 2021 Conference USA Championship. While most teams can't wait to get home, for this team and this year, the Owls would be happy to see that road stretch extended as long as possible because that means a C-USA title and more.
The Owls will open the road swing at North Florida (9-6), who defeated FAU 4-3 back on March 5. It was a hard-fought match that ended with all eyes on court No. 3 for the match's decision. FAU would fall in that match 7-3, 4-6, 6-2.. FAU will attempt to better the program's all-time history between the two schools which stands at 4-2 Ospreys. The Owls dropped the doubles point and will look secure that point and the match's momentum prior to moving into singles play.
Six Owls are a two-match winning streak in singles play.
May Kimhi is 7-2 while
Natalia Boltinskaya is turning in an impressive senior season with a 6-3 mark on No. 1. Martina Kudelvoa is 6-5 on the year and 5-3 in doubles play.
FAU will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, where the team will face James Madison on April 3, in a neutral site match, on the campus of Charlotte. They will then play Charlotte the next day at 10 a.m.
