NORFOLK, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team (1-5, 1-3 Conference USA) traveled to Norfolk for the first time to face a fledgling Old Dominion program (4-5, 3-2 C-USA). The evenly played match saw multiple lead changes with the 21-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12 final in favor of the Monarchs.

"We did a lot of great things today," said
Fernanda Nelson, FAU's head coach. "Our serve and pass game was very efficient and our right side hitters had a really good match today. We have to be a little bit more patient offensively and have less errors. In the fifth set ODU was the better team."

The two teams will return to the court tomorrow at noon for the final game of the two-match set. FAU will play host to Charlotte next Sunday and Monday, March 7 and 8. Both are scheduled for noon. Fans also can follow the team on social media @fauvolleyball or watch on CUSA.tv.
