NORFOLK, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team (1-5, 1-3 Conference USA) traveled to Norfolk for the first time to face a fledgling Old Dominion program (4-5, 3-2 C-USA). The evenly played match saw multiple lead changes with the 21-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12 final in favor of the Monarchs.

Nelson Nuggets

"We did a lot of great things today," said Fernanda Nelson, FAU's head coach. "Our serve and pass game was very efficient and our right side hitters had a really good match today. We have to be a little bit more patient offensively and have less errors. In the fifth set ODU was the better team."

Statistically

Double-digit hitters included Camryn Volger (15), Alicia Hearn (15), Scherine Dahoue (12) and Stephanie Young (10)
Young led the squad with 27 assists while freshman MiaBella English added 20
Defensively, Dahoue led the squad with 21 digs while Raine Lynch had 13 and Young added 11
English had a team-high three service aces while Alicia Hearns added two
At the net, freshman Nikola Bartecka was in on four blocks and Dahoue three

What's Next
