FAU Returns to the Courts and Winning Ways
2/28/2021 7:42:00 PM | Women's Tennis
FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the first time in 14 days, the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (4-2) returned to the courts and they did so in winning ways with a 6-1 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday in Fort Myers.
"We have worked extra hard in the area of fitness and it showed," said Caroline Wheelen, FAU's head coach. "FGCU raised their level of play big time in the second sets and I was not comfortable at all with the intensity of all the matches. But my girls dug deep, remained coachable and trusted the process."

The Owls took the doubles point, winning on courts three and one. In singles play, each of the six matches were played to the conclusion with FAU junior May Kimhi clinching the match on court six.
