BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women's tennis (3-2) opened the 2021 season at home, but are scheduled to play their fifth straight match on the road this weekend with they travel to Fort Myers, Florida where they will face Florida Gulf Coast University at 1 p.m.

The Owls have faced stiff competition in 2021 opening with Miami, traveling to Las Vegas, and finally taking on Florida State. FGCU (1-2) has squared off in three matches, falling to FIU and USF and picking up a win over Liberty. The Owls will look to even the all-time series at 7-7 with a win on Sunday.

Four Owls are on a win streak with Martina Kudelova and Louie McLelland each standing on a two-match win streak while Natalie Kallmunzerova and Radka Buzkova both winning their last match. In doubles play, the duo of Buzkova and newcomer Katerina Filip are 2-2 on the season, while McLelland and Natalia Boltinskaya recorded a huge win over a ranked UNLV team.
