2021 NFL Owls – Week 14

BOCA RATON, Fla. – FAUSports.com is proud to update our fans on the exploits of all of the former Owls who are lacing their cleats up each week in the NFL. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the 14th week of the 2021 NFL season (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):

#51 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | San Francisco 49ers
- Al-Shaair led the 49ers with 11 tackles on Sunday despite missing the fourth quarter due to injury. He has since been declared day-to-day with an elbow sprain. Of his 11 stops, eight were solo and three were assists, three were for loss (and five of the other eight were for three yards or less), and he had a sack and a pass defense. The Niners edged out Cincinnati in overtime, 26-23.
49ers' Record: 7-6 (Third in the NFC West, would be sixth in the NFC playoff seeding if the season ended today)

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Bryant was inactive against Baltimore due to an ankle injury, but the Browns won without him, 24-22. He has returned to practice in a limited capacity.
Browns' Record: 7-6 (Tied for second in the AFC North, and is among a group of five teams at 7-6, ranked between sixth and ninth in the AFC playoff standings)
Next Game: vs. Las Vegas – Saturday, 4:30 p.m. (NFL Network)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- Hendrickson is another former Owl battling injury, as he left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a back injury. Prior to going out, he was able to secure a sack for the ninth consecutive game, his only stop of the contest, which puts him one away from the Bengals' single season record. The team is optimistic he will play this Sunday.
Bengals' Record: 7-6 (Tied for second in the AFC North, and is among a group of five teams at 7-6, ranked between sixth and ninth in the AFC playoff standings)

#1 Greg Joseph | K | Minnesota Vikings
- Joseph made three of four field goals, and three of four extra points, as the Vikings topped the Steelers on TNF, 36-28. His FG makes were from 38, 42 and 25, and all eight of his kickoffs went into the end zone (five for touchbacks). He is third in the NFL in scoring this season, at 108 points and counting.
Vikings' Record: 6-7 (Second in the NFC North, is just a game out of the final No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff seeding if the season ended today)

#35 Sharrod Neasman | S | New York Jets
- Neasman had one stop while playing 29 combined snaps (three at safety, 26 – or 87% - on special teams), and it was a tackle-for-loss of Saints' running back Alvin Kamara in the fourth quarter. New Orleans topped the Jets, 30-9.
Jets' Record: 3-10

#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre did not record a stat, playing 14 special teams snaps, in the Steelers' 36-28 loss to Minnesota.

#26 Devin Singletary | RB | Buffalo Bills
- On for 82% of the team's offensive snaps, Singletary totaled 89 all-purpose yards: 52 on just four carries, and six receptions for 37 through the air as well. Three of his four totes on the ground went for first downs, with a long of 29 (and another for 18), and 24 yards came after contact. Of his catches, three went for 10 or more. Buffalo fell to Tampa Bay, 33-27.

#29 Herb Miller | CB | Cleveland Browns
- Miller was elevated to the active roster, making his sixth appearance of the season. He was in on 15 special teams snaps and a tackle on a second quarter kickoff as the Browns beat the Ravens.

- Smith was cut by the Bears last weekend, but picked up by the Falcons Tuesday and added to their practice squad.
