Adams Signs with Beach Volleyball

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Capri Grotowski, head coach of the Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team, has announced the signing of Ashleigh Adams. She will join the Owls in the fall of 2022, just in time for the 2023 campaign.

"Ashleigh Adams is bringing quite a lot to the FAU Sandy Owl family, and we cannot wait for all of it," said Growtowski. "Whether it's her super competitive spirit, incredible beach volleyball IQ or wonderful attitude and partnerships!"

In Adams' indoor high school career, she is a four-time First Team All-League selection, three-time First Team All-District choice and three-time First Team All-Statte honoree. Her team, Council Rock High School North earnd first in their league (SOL) from her sophomore to senior year, while she was named MVP all four years. Adams also broke the school record with 1,921 career kills.

On the beach courts, Adams is a three-time AVP National Junior finalist, with one AVP Natinal Junior title. Adams is also a USA National Championship finalist and three-time JVA Top-50 Watchlist recipient. The Newtown, Pennsylvania product has won 10 open tournaments and has placed in many others. Additionally, she was selected for the FAB50 P1440 Group and won the AVP Young Gun award three years in a row.
