– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (6-1-2, 1-0-2 in Conference USA) looks to stay undefeated in C-USA play, as the team hosts defending College Cup National Champions, No. 5 Marshall (6-1-3, 1-0-2 C-USA). First touch is set for 7 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium in what is FAU's biggest test of the season.

- FAU has won or drawn in their last five matches, beginning the season 6-1-2 with an undefeated 1-0-2 league mark. The team looks to carry the momentum when they host the defending National Champions
- Filip Jauk leads the team with six goals, which is tied for the league's most. He also has a team's best 12 points
- Luis Sailer Fidalgo leads the Owls with six assists, tied for the most in the league. The sophomore is ranked No. 7 in the country in assists per game (0.75)
- Neil Strauber has started in all nine matches in goal to accumulate 849 minutes. He has started 21 straight matches in goal, while posting a 1.17 goals against average, 36 saves and two shutouts
- FAU is tied for third in the C-USA standings with five points
- The Owls average 2.33 goals per game, while holding the opposition to 1.22 per game. FAU also outshoots opponents, 105-91
- FAU was projected to finish sixth out of nine teams in the C-USA Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches
- Alonso Coello Camarero and Ivan Mykhailenko were tabbed to the 14-person C-USA Preseason Team
- The team has nine newcomers with 15 different countries being represented on the roster

- The Herd were the heavy favorite in the C-USA Preseason Poll, projected to win the conference with a unanimous nine first-place votes

- Semmle is picking up from where he left off after leading C-USA and the nation with 11 shutouts a season ago. The senior posts a 1.05 goals against average, 31 saves and four cleansheets

- FAU's lead was short-lived as the Gamecocks tied at the 74th minute and neither team could find the back of the net through the remainder of the match
