2021 NFL Owls – Week 7

BOCA RATON, Fla. – FAUSports.com is proud to update our fans on the exploits of all of the former Owls who are lacing their cleats up each week in the NFL. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the seventh week of the 2021 NFL season (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (8)
#51 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | San Francisco 49ers
- Al-Shaair had four solo tackles and four assists for eight stops on Sunday night. He had one TFL, three more for no gain, and was also credited with a fumble recovery on a stripped ball that he caught out of the air and returned for 12 yards. Twice he was targeted, and he limited those catches to just 10 total yards, earning an 83.4 overall grade from PFF while playing 91% of the snaps at linebacker (62 of 68) in his starting role. The 49ers lost to the Colts on SNF, 30-18.

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Bryant caught one of the two passes thrown his way last Thursday, gaining 15 yards to convert a third down to a first, and eventually leading to a field goal in the Browns' 17-14 win over Denver. He also added his second career tackle on a punt return earlier in that period, among his 10 special teams snaps (plus 30 at tight end).
Browns' Record: 4-3
Next Game: vs. Pittsburgh (and Pierre) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- For the third straight game, Hendrickson came away with a sack, a key seven-yard loss and takedown of Lamar Jackson on 3rd-and-8 when the Bengals led by just three. Cincy would go on to demolish the Ravens, in Baltimore, 41-17. He now has 6.5 sacks, fourth in the NFL, and according to PFF, he also ranks fourth with 32 quarterback pressures, coming up with three more Sunday. He's also ranked fifth by that service with a 23.5 pass rush win rate. If the season ended today, amazingly, the Bengals would be the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Next Game: at N.Y. Jets (and Neasman) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#38 Buddy Howell | RB/ST | Los Angeles Rams
- Howell appeared in his third game of the season, totaling 15 of the Rams' 25 special teams snaps, in a 28-19 win over Detroit.
Rams' Record: 6-1

#1 Greg Joseph | K | Minnesota Vikings
- Joseph and the Vikings were on a bye.
