BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women's basketball has announced the signing of three student-athletes to the 2020-21 roster. Iggy Allen joins the Owls as a graduate transfer and Bre Beck comes to South Florida as a junior college transfer, while Rita Pleskevich comes to FAU from the University of Washington and will sit out the 2020-21 season.

Iggy Allen
Hometown: Pompano Beach, Fla. | Previous School: Miami | Position: G | Height: 5'11"
Allen will finish her collegiate career with the Owls as a graduate transfer. The South Florida native played 12 games for the Canes last season, tallying a season-high nine points and five rebounds against Louisville. Allen began her collegiate career at Mississippi State, where she played in 20 games to help the Bulldogs reach the NCAA Championship title game in 2017. She is a Dean's List and Honor Roll recipient and was also named to the Provost List.
At Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Allen averaged 15.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game as a junior. Allen was tabbed as the No. 43 overall player in her recruiting class, including the fourth-best Floridian. The guard also led the team to a 31-2 record, a 5A state title and an appearance in the Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals title game at the Madison Square Garden.
Bre Beck
Hometown: Chicago, Ill. | Previous School: Wabash Valley | Position: G | Height: 5'8"
Beck will make her way to South Florida as a junior college transfer after spending a season at Wabash Valley College. The All Great Rivers Athletic Conference selection played in 19 games for the Warriors, averaging 11.3 points per game with a 47.9 shooting percentage, and 5.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game. She also received Academic honors, the Student-Athlete Academic Award and IECC Chief Executive Officers Academic Award.

As a three-year starter at Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Beck was an All-City, All-District and All-Conference choice as a junior and senior. The guard averaged 11 points per game along with 5.8 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 3 steals per game as a senior. Her team finished in fourth at the Illinois Class 4A Women's Basketball Championships.
Rita Pleskevich
Hometown: Moscow, Russia | Previous School: Washington | Position: G | Height: 5'10"
Pleskevich rounds out the list of signees, playing the previous season at Washington. The guard appeared in 30 games, while making 20 starts and averaging 2.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Pleskevich scored a season-high 15 points in the Huskies' upset win over No. 8 UCLA, where she connected on a perfect 6-6 from the field, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range and adding six assists.
Pleskevich is no stranger to South Florida, playing her first two years at Broward College where she scored 940 points in 59 games across two seasons. She was a two-time NJCAA All-Region 8 and FCSAA All-Southern Conference First Team honoree. Pleskevich also has international playing experience, joining the Russia Junior Team in 2016, while earning a gold medal at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup.
