BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls return to Paradise on Saturday, Jan. 24, hosting in-state American rival South Florida for the Owls' annual Alumni Game. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, broadcast on ESPN+.

Saturday's game is sponsored by the Florida Atlantic College of Social Work & Criminal Justice and is a Red Out.

A LOOK AT THE OWLS

Florida Atlantic enters Saturday's matchup at 8-11 overall and 2-5 in American Play. The Owls currently rank 10th in the league and look to get back in the win column after a two-game skid.
As a team, the Owls currently lead the American in bench points per game (25.2), and rank fourth in steals per game (9.3), 3-point attempts per game (22.1), 3-pointers made per game (6.8), and fewest fouls per game (17.5).
FAU's offensive leader is Vivian Onugha, who boasts a team-leading 10.1 points per game. Destyne Jackson and Grace Carstensen rank second and third offensively for the Owls, tallying 8.6 and 7.9 points per game, respectively.
On the glass, the Owls are led by Haley Walker and Onugha. Walker has tallied a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per game, while Onugha ranks second on the team, collecting 6.3 boards per contest this season.
The assist leader is Jess Moors, who has dished out a team-best 3.0 assists per game. Moors also leads the team and ranks fifth in the American in steals, collecting a team-best 2.0 per game.

SCOUTING SOUTH FLORIDA

South Florida enters Saturday's matchup tied for third in the American at 12-8 overall and 5-2 in conference play. The Bulls are just coming off an 86-83 road loss at Temple on Tuesday.
As a team, the Bulls lead the American in assist/turnover ratio (1.04), assists per game (16.2), field goal percentage (.444), and defensive rebounds per game (27.0), in addition to ranking second in rebounding margin (4.3) and scoring offense (71.6), fourth in free throw percentage (.732), 3-point percentage (.336), fewest turnovers per game (15.7), and fifth in rebounds per game (39.2).
The Bulls are led offensively by Edyn Battle and Katie Davidson. Battle leads the Bulls with a team-best 14.7 points per contest this season. Davidson also averages double figures this season, recording 12.1 points per game.
South Florida's assists leader is Stefanie Ingram, who leads the American in assists and assists per game, dishing out 117 assists and averaging 5.9 per contest.
Defensively, the Bulls are led on the glass by L'or Mputu, who ranks fifth in the American in rebounds, collecting 146 rebounds this season, averaging 8.1 per game. Ingram is also the Bulls' steals leader, collecting a team-best 1.3 steals per game.
Ines Piper is USF's blocks leader, ranking seventh in the conference, averaging 1.0 blocks per game.

SERIES HISTORY

South Florida holds the all-time series lead between the Owls and the Bulls, 12-8, however, the Owls hold the advantage in Boca Raton, leading the Bulls 6-2 in Paradise. The Owls look to snap a two-game skid against South Florida, after falling in a pair of contests last season on Jan. 18 and Feb. 15 against the Bulls.

LAST TIME OUT: AT CHARLOTTE

Florida Atlantic dropped a 77-56 road matchup at Charlotte on Tuesday.
Michiyah Simmons and Carstensen led the way for the Owls. Simmons finished with a team-best 16 points, while Carstensen finished with 13 points.
Simmons also dished out a team-leading three assists.
Moors collected a team-best four steals, and Onugha pulled down a team-high six boards in the contest.
The Owls outshot the 49ers 37.5 to 30 percent from beyond the arc.
FAU also held an advantage off the bench, outscoring the 49ers' reserves, 25-19.
