BOCA RATON, Fla. – Fresh off Wednesday's 11-2 win over No. 6 Miami, Florida Atlantic University baseball is back at FAU Baseball Stadium to host Northeastern for a three-game weekend set, starting on Friday night.
Owls' Midweek in Review
Most recently, the Owls (8-4) split the final two games of five straight against Top 10 opponents. On Tuesday in West Palm Beach, No. 1 Florida took a 7-3 win at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. FAU recovered for a convincing victory Wednesday night over the No. 6 Hurricanes, and will now focus on the Huskies for the second year in a row.
Owls' Midweek in Preview
Northeastern had a wild Wednesday game, losing 17-16 to Western Michigan, snapping the Huskies' seven-game Florida winning streak. The team trailed 16-10 going into the ninth and scored six to tie, only to see the Broncos walk it off on an error. NU played the Red Sox in a spring exhibition on Feb. 21 and have been in the Sunshine State since, sweeping USF and winning their first four games at the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte before Wednesday's loss.
