BOCA RATON, Fla. - The 18th-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team continues its season in DeLand, Florida, for this weekend's Stetson Spring Fling.

The Owls will play St. Leo at 10 a.m. and No. 16 Georgia State at 2 p.m. on Friday, then face No. 7 Stetson and St. Petersburg College on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- FAU started the same teams for all four of last weekend's matches
- The lineup included two seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and three freshmen
LAST TIME OUT
- FAU went 3-1 during its opening weekend at the UNF Beach Invite
- The Owls swept Mercer in their first match on Friday, before getting nipped by then-No. 10 FIU in the nightcap
- On Saturday, the Owls won both their matches, sweeping then-No. 17 Georgia State, then rallying to defeat UNF in their final match of the weekend

SERIES HISTORY
- FAU has a combined 6-15 all-time record against the tournament field
- Friday's matchup with Saint Leo will be the first between the two teams
- Georgia State has a 9-4 lead in the all-time series with the Owls; however, FAU swept the Panthers last weekend in Jacksonville
- Stetson and FAU have met on 11 previous occasions in their history, with the Hatters winning 10
- The Hatters and Owls played four times last season and Stetson took all four
- FAU and St. Petersburg College's only previous encounter took place on March 21, 2018, with the Owls winning 4-0

SCOUTING THE FIELD
- Saint Leo is 4-2 so far this season, just its third of existence
- Georgia State (3-1) suffered its only opening weekend loss to the Owls, defeating 10th-ranked FIU, host UNF and Mercer
- Stetson (3-2) is currently ranked seventh in the nation. The Hatters recorded victories over two ranked opponents (No. 16 TCU, No. 7 Cal Poly) at the Seminole Beach Bash in Tallahassee over the weekend
- St. Petersburg College will officially open its season on Friday
