"Weekends like this one can be very frustrating, as we are obviously not where we would like to be as a team," said head coach
Alex Smolka. "However, we had so many personal records and strong performances! We have a great group of student-athletes that work very hard and we do have the PRs to show how much progress is being made, but we just don't have the overall results we are looking for yet! It's exciting and encouraging that we were able to score points in the field events with Simpson's triple jump, the hurdles with Schmalz' 60m hurdles, distance with Jonsson's 800m, as well as the 4x400m relay!"

The Owls have completed the indoor slate and will take on the outdoor season with their first meet taking place on March 20-21 in Miami for the Hurricane Invitational.
