Final Results
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team rounded out the first day of the 2020 Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Two Owls will advance to finals in their respective events tomorrow.

- Lyric Schmalz qualified for the 60m hurdle finals after finishing fifth (8.71). Reneé Shaw finished in 8.88 for 11th place
- Mikaela Jonsson crossed the finish line in the 800m run in eighth with a time of 2:15.35 to qualify for finals. Brooke Butterfield finished 13th in the race
- The women's distance medley relay team tallied ninth place with a time of 12:21.14. Jonsson, Searra Woods, Butterfield and Lauren Macon were behind the finish
- Cara Simpson worked her way to 5.50m finish in the long jump to capture 10th place
- In the indoor pentathlon, Jessica Lambert finished in 12th with a score of 2870. The freshman finished first in the 800m run (2:18.79) by almost five seconds to gain huge points in the standings
- Madlen Kappeler logged 12th in the 5000m (17:38.21) and Morgan Sharp followed in 18th (18:39.88)
- Anne-Catherine Wasser finished 16th in the 400m dash (57.63), while Roshelle Francois followed in 20th (58.29)Â

The Owls will take on day two of the C-USA Indoor Track & Field Championships tomorrow. Outdoor season commences at the Hurricane Invitational taking place from March 20-21
