BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team will compete at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming and Diving Championships this week. The championships will take place from Wednesday to Saturday at Allan Jones Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The final three days from the championships will be streamed on bigsouthsports.com/watch and live results will be available on the MeetMobile app.

The Owls came up with a historic showing at the CCSA Championships, finishing as the runner-up at the 2019 CCSA Championships with 796.5 points. FAU began the weekend with a second-place feat in the 800 free relay thanks to
Colin Kozak,
Connor Smoak,
Reilly Maguire and
Josh Fountain finishing in 6:39.43. Fountain had a huge weekend, tallying first in the 500 free (4:26.93) and second in the 1650 free with a time of 15:23.58, which became a new school record and an NCAA B-cut.
Calvin Lillo came up with a huge second place finish in the 400 IM (3:58.31), while
Will Smith finished third in the 500 free (4:30.92) and 1650 free (15:32.11).
Michael Cannatelli delivered second in the 3-meter (272.95) and first in the platform exhibition (293.65), while
Logan Downey took home the gold in the 1-meter (365.45). The 400 free relay team of Kozak,
Jack Neeley, Maguire and Smoak ended the weekend in third place (302.50).
The women's swimming and diving team will head to Atlanta next week for the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 26-29. More details about the meet schedule and times will be released later next week on FAUSports.com.
