In all 21 innings at the plate against the Blue Hens, at least one Owl reached base, towards a total team on-base percentage of .496 (sixth best in the nation), to go along with a batting average of .352. Owls' Midweek in Preview
FGCU (0-3) began the season by traveling to New Orleans, falling in all three matchups to Tulane, by scores of 4-3, 8-4 and 6-1. Last season, the Eagles finished 34-21, winning the Atlantic Sun regular season title with a 16-7 mark. Coaches picked the squad second in the 2020 ASUN preseason poll, behind tournament champ Liberty, with four Eagles meriting All-Conference nods: starting pitcher Mason Studstill, catcher Alex Brait, third baseman Richie Garcia and designated hitter Joe Kinker.

Midweek Probable Starting Pitching Matchup
These teams met up for only one of the two scheduled matchups last season, with the Fort Myers date canceled due to rain. In Boca Raton last April 30, the Owls posted an 11-5 win to cut the FGCU advantage in the all-time series to 12-8.
