BOCA RATON, Fla. – Bonus Play, Conference USA's basketball scheduling format which pits league teams against one another in group stages in the two weeks before the C-USA Tournament, begins on Saturday, Feb. 22.

How Bonus Play Works
The conference will be divided into three groups. The top five teams will make up the first group, while teams 6-10 will be the second group, with the last four teams composing the third group. Each team will play two home games and two road games within their group and receive one off date.

The Owls are 6-6 in conference play and are currently in position to enter Bonus Play in pod two, but can still move up to the top pod, depending upon the results this weekend, including their games against Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech.

Regardless how a team does in Bonus Play, each team will remain in its respective group for the C-USA Tournament: if the No. 6 team goes 4-0 in Bonus Play and the No. 5 team goes 0-4, the No. 6 team can't finish higher than sixth and thus can't be higher than a sixth seed in the conference tournament.

When Will The Bonus Play Schedule Be Announced?
Conference USA will announce the Bonus Play schedule at 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, Feb. 16.
