The 5-4 striker is from Centennial, Colorado and Cherry Creek High School. In 2018-19, playing club for Real Colorado, she earned 22 caps with 11 starts, scoring nine goals. That included a hat trick in a win over SC del Sol, and she would go on to earn Top Drawer Soccer U16-U17 Best XI Honorable Mention recognition. Previously, she was the top goal scorer for both her Seattle Reign ECNL and ISC Gunners Premier club squads.
Mangayi also has had vast experience with US Soccer, as part of the USSF Training Center for nearly two years, as well as being a participant in the program's Oregon and Washington Combine in 2016 and Northwest Combine (held in Portland, Oregon) in 2017. Off the field, she has earned academic achievement honors with a 4.0 GPA in 2016-17 and honor roll merit in 2017-18.
Why Mangayi chose FAU:
"Coach Baker has created an atmosphere of winners, achievers and hardworking people on and off the field with the incredible program he has been able to create. He and the other coaching staff are genuinely devoted to their players and have created a welcoming home-away-from-home environment. I knew Florida was the place for me on my first visit and I am extremely excited to be able to dedicate my future aspirations to the FAU family. I can't wait to join the other players and be able to work hard for many more future conference and championship wins in the years to come. What other place to do it than in Paradise. GO OWLS!"
Baker on Mangayi:
"We are excited to have Natalie join our women's soccer family here at FAU and she is a great addition to our 2020 roster," said head coach
Patrick Baker. "We lose a number of highly-touted attacking players to graduation and her skillset will enhance our ability to create chances and score goals moving forward. Like others in her class, Natalie is individually gifted and she makes the game easy for those around her. She can change the complexion of a game with one run and is a threat both under the line and in backspace. Natalie has a very bright future and we are glad she will be playing her college days in Paradise."
Come summer, the new, now, quintet of incoming players will join a vast amount of returnees coming off of back-to-back Conference USA regular season championship seasons, ahead of the 2020 fall campaign.
