The Florida Atlantic University football team returned to the practice field Thursday morning after a Wednesday that was designated as a day off and built into the schedule for recovery.

Dressed in full pads, FAU went through the paces adding goal line into the schedule. The session was pretty evenly matched between offense and defense with two scores and two defensive stands.

Kiffin's Korner
Head Coach Lane Kiffin on the Receivers
"I have (been encouraged by what he has seen so far). As you mentioned we have been concerned with that position. I think that, that position more than anything probably was the difference in year one and year two, especially once we got Kalib (Woods) back. That position was very disappointing last year. There are still a lot of concerns because of numbers and losing people. I think we lost four guys that transferred. Those aren't guys that you don't get, that are young guys, those are guys that should be older veteran guys in your program. I have been impressed with John Mitchell. We need Pico (Tavaris Harrison) to stay healthy, which has always kinda been his issue and having (Dante) Cousart back has been really good. He is a good player and that hurt us too, when he got hurt last year."

Player's Take
David Belvin III and the opportunities it presents with new defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer
"I feel like it has given me a new opportunity (to show) that I could actually produce out there. Before they have seen that I could produce, but I don't feel like I got the proper opportunity that I felt I deserved, but as (part of) a team I stayed in my role worked my way up then just kept producing, producing, producing. It is like they say, eventually your time is going to come. My time came and now I'm just trying to put on."
