Coello Camarero Named to the Preseason C-USA All-Conference Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University men's soccer student-athlete Alonso Coello-Camarero has been named to the Conference USA Preseason All-Conference team. Coello Camarero was selected along with 10 other C-USA players.

The Madrid, Spain native is coming off of a successful freshmen season that saw him earn C-USA All-Freshmen Team and All-Conference Third Team honors. He was the Owl's top assist-earner in 2018 and he assisted on FAU's two game-winning goals. He had six points on the season with four assists and a goal.

Coello Camarero is the first FAU men's soccer player to earn preseason honors since the Owls joined C-USA in 2013. He was joined on the team by players from Kentucky, Charlotte, Old Dominion, FIU and Old Dominion. Heading into the 2019 season, both Kentucky (No. 8) and Charlotte (No. 21) are ranked in the top 25 nationally.
