BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team will travel south this weekend for the seventh annual FIU Surf N' Turf Invitational. The Tournament Central page for this weekend's event can be found here.

FAU, who is ranked 15^th in the latest AVCA poll, will face no. 20 TCU and (RV) Tulane on Friday, at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. On Saturday, the Owls play no. 16 Grand Canyon at 10 a.m. and no. 4 LSU at 3 p.m.

ABOUT THE OWLS

FAU is 9-6 overall this season, and 3-3 in CCSA play.
Savannah Pesante and Kaila Dorish have the best record of any Owl tandem, 12-3.
Nicole Grant/Amanda Silva and Jillenne Cangelosi/Megan McGrath are both 11-4.
Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris, the school's all-time winningest duo hold a 10-5 record this season.

LAST TIME OUT

FAU won both of its matches last Saturday.
The Owls beat North Alabama 4-1 and Tampa 5-0.
Brok/Morris, Silva/Grant, Pesante/Dorish and Cangelosi/McGrath all went 2-0.
Kristi Tekavec and Johannah Cummines won in their first scoring match of the season.

SERIES HISTORY

The Owls lead TCU 3-1 in their all-time series, including a 5-0 win earlier this season in Boca.
Tulane has beaten FAU just once in six meetings.
FAU and GCU have split their two previous encounters. The Owls evened the series with a 3-2 win last season.
LSU holds a 5-3 advantage in the all-time series with FAU. The Tigers defeated the Owls 3-2 back on March 1.

SCOUTING THE FIELD

No. 20 TCU (10-10) won three of its four matches at its home tournament last weekend.
(RV) Tulane (14-8) is riding a hot streak, having won six of its last seven matches.
GCU comes into the weekend winners of its last three matches, capped by a 4-1 win over no. 14 Stanford.
LSU (13-4), currently ranked fourth in the nation, is on a six-match winning streak.
