BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (4-19, 1-9 C-USA) fell to UTEP (5-18, 2-8 C-USA) on Thursday night.
HOW IT WAS DECIDED
- FAU struggled to score in the first half, being held to 14 points through the first two quarters. The Owls picked it up in the second half, scoring 15 points in the third and fourth quarters
GAME NOTES
- The Owls were led by freshman Juliette Gauthier, who had 14 points in the contest. She also had five rebounds and an assist
- Myka Johnson Matthews was the second leading scorer with 12 points. She added three rebounds, an assist and a steal
- Abby Voss led on the boards with six rebounds. She also had four points
- Ra'Kyra Gabriel moved to 10th place on FAU's all-time career rebounding list with 465 in her career
- Danneal Ford also hit a landmark. The senior moved into 10th place on the Owls' all-time career assists earners with 236 helpers
- Jamaria Williams came off the bench to score eight points. She also had three rebounds, three steals and an assist
UP NEXT
FAU will stay home to host UTSA on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Burrow. It will be the Owls' Play For Kaye game.
