Â
Whyte broke another school record this weekend at the Harvard Elite Invite in the 60-meter dash. In the preliminary round, her time of 7.33 broke the school record, which she had set on Jan. 11 in her FAU debut. Whyte placed second in the finals with a time of 7.35, following Gabreille Thomas, a runner for New Balance, making Whyte the top collegiate runner in the event. At the Bruce Lehan Invite, Whyte captured first-place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.44 after running 7.39 in the prelims.
Â
Stapleton had a dominating weekend off the bench for the Owls, averaging a team-high 18.5 points and 5 rebounds on the weekend. Against Louisiana Tech, Stapleton racked up 19 points and 9 rebounds against his former school in a 69-61 victory for FAU. Although the Owls came up short against Southern Miss on Saturday, Stapleton was among the leading scorers with 18 points and went 53 percent from the field.
