JACKSONVILLE Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (5-7-1) dropped their final non-conference matchup of the regular season at North Florida (6-6-2) Wednesday night, 1-0. The series with the Atlantic Sun opponent is now at 6-3-0 still in favor of the Owls.
Both teams were held off the scoreboard until the 16th minute when the Ospreys capitalized on a golden opportunity in the box. The goal, scored by UNF's Miguel DeLeon Jr. and assisted by Robbie Soronellas, was all the Ospreys needed the entire 90 minutes of play. Overall, the Owls outshot the Ospreys, 13-4, but fell short in Jacksonville.
