BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team will take part in the 35th annual Georgetown Intercollegiate played at Four Streams in Beallsville, Maryland on Monday and Tuesday. This marks the third consecutive tournament for the Owls, who will wrap up fall play this week.

The Owls are coming off a second-place finish in the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational. FAU held onto the lead after Monday's round one, shooting at 292. In the final round on Tuesday, the Owls pulled within three of the lead with the round's lowest team score of 284. Overall, FAU finished with a score of 867 and was three shots behind invitational winner and host West Virginia.

The team was led by freshman
Alex Maguire, who was -2 on the par-72 course. Maguire would finish the tournament in seventh, shooting 70-74-72 for an even par 216.
Max Sturdza stood two strokes behind him, shooting 74-74-70 for a score of 218 and a top-10 finish.
Enrique Dimayuga tied with Sturdza at No. 10 in the tournament with rounds 73, 73, 72 for 218.

FAU will competing against Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Loyola (Maryland), Princeton, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's (Pennsylvania), Seton Hall, Washington and William & Mary.

The Owls will commence their spring season at the Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California on Feb. 21-23.Â
