HOW IT WAS DECIDED
- Ra'Kyra Gabriel put the Owls on the board first with a pair of free throws just 20 seconds into the game. After WKU scored, Gabriel once again put FAU ahead with a layup. The Lady Toppers went on an 8-0 run to reclaim the advantage and they held on to that lead for the remainder of the game. The Owls did draw within two late in the first with a 7-0 run of their own and went into the second quarter down, 17-13
- Neither team scored for the first 1:36 of the second quarter, but WKU broke through first. Gabriel scored five points in back-to-back possessions a few moments later to cut it to one. From that point, WKU outscored the Owls 20-4 through the rest of the period
- The Owls struggled offensively coming out of halftime. Amber Gaston scored four points in the frame
- FAU had its highest scoring quarter in the fourth, putting up 21 points
