TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (2-3-0, 1-0-0 C-USA) fell on the road to USF, 4-1, on Monday night.
HOW IT WAS DECIDED
- The match remained scoreless for the first 32 minutes of the game before USF took a 1-0 lead. The Bulls followed that up with three more goals, the last coming on a penalty kick.
- Jean Paul Rafols headed the ball past the Bull keeper from a corner kick in the 86th minute to keep USF from getting the shutout.
GAME NOTES
- Blake Dean paced the Owls with three shots on the night. One of those shots nearly made it past the Bulls, but a defender knocked the ball away from the goal line.
- Jean Paul Rafols scored his first career goal as an Owl late in the game.
- Felipe Cardona took the corner kick that led to Rafols' goal, giving the freshman his first assist of the season.
- Hagay Jalon made five saves on the night.
