Softball Will Host Chinese National Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will host the Chinese National Team on Wednesday, April 25, in a double-header at 5 and 7 p.m. at the FAU Softball Stadium.
The Owls (23-23, 10-7 Conference USA) split their doubleheader against Middle Tennessee on Saturday. Sunday's rubber game was rained out. FAU is currently tied with FIU for first place in the East division.
"It's always fun to play an international squad. It's an opportunity for our team to see how players from a different country play the game as opposed to how we play the game," said Joan Joyce, FAU's Head Softball Coach. "I'm looking forward these games and I know our team is too."
General admission tickets are $7 each and can be purchased by calling the FAU Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS or by walking up to the ticket window at the FAU Softball Stadium on Wednesday night.
It marks the second time FAU has played a national team. The Owls played Team USA on February 23, 2008.
