#16 Beach Volleyball Prepares for CCSA Tournament

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 16th ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will head to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) tournament as the No. 8 seed. The tournament will be held at the Lakepoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia, starting on Friday, April 20.
The pool play round of the tournament splits the 10 CCSA teams into two groups with the top two teams in each group advancing to the single elimination semifinals and finals. Top-seeded Florida State, No. 4 LSU, No. 5 Georgia State and No. 9 UNC-Wilmington compose the rest of Pool A. Pool A consists of second-seed South Carolina, No. 3 FIU, sixth-seeded Tulane, No. 7 College of Charleston and No. 10 UAB.
FAU will face Florida State at noon and Georgia State at 3 p.m. on Friday. The Owls play UNC-Wilmington at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and wrap up pool play later that day against LSU at 1:30 p.m. The semifinals begin at 9 a.m. Sunday morning, with the championship match starting at 1 p.m. that same day. Both semifinals and Sunday’s final will air live on Eleven Sports.
