BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will face its toughest tournament field of the season at this weekend’s Michelle Smith Pediatric Cancer Invitational in Clearwater. The Owls face Oakland and No. 19 Oklahoma State on Friday, and No. 10 Tennessee and UMass-Lowell on Saturday, before wrapping up against Missouri on Sunday.
Last Week: FAU went 4-2 during the season’s opening weekend, splitting a doubleheader with Duke on Thursday night, then defeating Michigan State and Bethune-Cookman on Friday night. The Owls lost to Ohio State in their only game on Saturday before rebounding to down Bethune-Cookman once again on Sunday.
