Ivone Martinez is C-USA Setter of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. - For the fourth time this season, Florida Atlantic University senior volleyball player Ivone Martinez has been named Conference USA Setter of the Week, earning the honor on Monday afternoon.

Martinez led the Owls' offense to a 2-0 weekend. She had a season-high 62 assists and 13 digs in FAU's four-set win over North Texas on Friday. The double-double was her fifth of the season and the 29th of her career. On Sunday, she dished out 57 assists and added seven digs in another four-set victory, this one over Louisiana Tech. For the weekend, she averaged 14.88 assists and 2.5 digs per set as the Owls improved to 13-4 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.

The Owls host Bethune-Cookman in their final non-conference match of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. Live video and live stats will be available at fausports.com.
