FAU Athletics Plays Host to Busy Weekend on Campus

BOCA RATON, Fla. - All varsity athletics events at Florida Atlantic University will remain as scheduled for Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16. Additionally, FAU will donate $1 from every ticket sold for all events this weekend to the Red Cross in support of their Hurricane Irma relief efforts. FAU will also provide complimentary admission to all First Responders to all events.
On Saturday, the football team will play host to Bethune-Cookman University with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at FAU Stadium. Parking lots will open at 2:30 p.m. and stadium gates will hope at 4:30 p.m. for premium seat holders, and 5 p.m. for students and the general public. Additionally, all fans must use the Glades Road entrance to attend this weekend's events, as Spanish River will be closed.
FAU will also provide complimentary admission to Saturday's football game for all Florida high school football teams, many of which had their games canceled because of Hurricane Irma. Pre-registration is necessary to receive the complimentary admission, and must be received by 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15.
FAU will be providing complimentary admission (up to four tickets) to all athletic events on Friday and Saturday to first responders and their families. First responders, or a family member if the first responder is working, must provide their official issued ID, or a copy if the first responder is not present. For Saturday's football game, please use Gate 3 or 4 for admission. For volleyball and men's soccer (with information for each event below), please use the venue box office for admission. The FAU Volleyball Invitational, featuring the Owls, Stetson, North Dakota State and Savannah State, will take place at FAU Arena on Friday and Saturday. FAU will play matches on Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. FAU men's soccer will continue their season on Friday at 7:00 p.m. against Conference USA rival Old Dominion at FAU Soccer Stadium.
