GREENSBORO, N.C. - Abbi Reid had a season-high 15 kills in the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team's sweep of Coastal Carolina (26-24, 25-20, 25-22) at the Spartan Spiketacular on Sunday. The Chanticleers are currently ranked no. 34 in the NCAA's RPI. The Owls improved to 6-2 on the year.

Early on in set number one, FAU built a modest lead and CCU rallied to tie the score. The pattern repeated itself later on in the set and the Chants tied the score at 19. There were four more ties, the final one coming at 24. A Sigourney Kame kill and a CCU attack error put the Owls up one set to none. There were six ties in the second set when FAU went on a 9-2 run, eventually winning the frame 25-20. Set number three was close from the beginning, but the Owls worked their way out to a 17-11 lead. The Chants tied the score at 20, but couldn't complete the comeback, falling 25-22.
