HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Florida Atlantic University's softball team lost its first game of a three-game series to Marshall 4-2. The Owls are now 25-13 overall and 7-3 in Conference USA.

Game Highlights

Mia Olson and Emily Lochten each had a home run.
Alex Miller and Delaney Rickey also had hits
Tatum Buckley gave up eight hits and four runs in the game. Buckley is now 6-4 on the season.

Key Plays

In the top of the second inning, Olson homered to left center for the first run of the game. Marshall answered back with a homer of their own in the next inning to tie the game 1-1. The Owls struggled defensively in the bottom of the third and allowed the Thundering Herd to score three runs.

"We jump out ahead with Mia Olson hitting the home run, and then we give up a home run. In the next inning, the game kind of got away from us. We will look to bounce back tomorrow in the doubleheader."
