BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University's softball team picked its sixth-consecutive victory to move to 9-2 on the year, with a 7-1 victory over Savannah State in the final game of the Strike Out Cancer Tournament on Sunday.

"Our team did a pretty good job today overall. We hit the ball well, had two home-runs on the day including some quality base hits."

On her overall thoughts about the weekend.
"I thought we did very well over the weekend. I think they seemed focused and we had the opportunity to get some other players in the game. I'm looking forward to continuing the success next weekend."

Game Highlights

* Delaney Rickey went 2-for-3
* Emily Lochten drove in four RBI, including a home run
* Tatum Buckley and Rickey had two RBIs
* Kaitlyn Burke had a home run

Key Plays
To start the game Lochten got on base due to a walk, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, then scored from a sacrifice fly to center field from Rickey. In the third inning, Burke had a two-run homer, and in the sixth inning Lochten added another homer for the final run of the game.
