BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University football began its Thursday prior to practice by announcing to the squad the 2017 Team Award winners.
- The 2017 team captains: Azeez Al-Shaair, Kalib Woods, "Motor" Devin Singletary, Jalen Young
- Most Inspiring Player: Azeez Al-Shaair
- Turn Up Swole Owls Award (Weight Room): Andrew Soroh, Roman Fernandez, Antonyo Woods, Kevin McCrary, John Raine, "Buddy" Gregory Howell, Jr.
- 1-0 is All that Matters Award (Given to players who prepared the best): "Motor" Devin Singletary, Jason Driskel, Raekwon Williams, Gerald Hearns, Jeremiah Taleni, Rashad Smith
