BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team took an early lead, but Jacksonville came back to claim a 2-1 double-overtime victory on a windy Tuesday night in Boca Raton.
• The first shot of the game gave the Owls (1-7) the advantage in just the sixth minute as Carlos Sanchis netted his team-leading fourth goal of the year. Aaron Laranetto took a rebound off a corner and found Sanchis, who buried it to the far corner to put the Owls up 1-0.
• In the 36th minute, JU's Lee Nicholson also took a rebound and answered to knot the game at 1-1 where it remained for the duration of regulation.
• In the 104th minute, JU's Igor Ferreira took a pass from Sam Gardner and lofted it by FAU's Daniel Ragoo for the game-winner.
• Ragoo made a pair of saves for FAU while Sanchis led the Owls with his two shots. Ferdinand Solberg and Laranetto also recorded shots on the night.

FAU returns to Conference USA play at New Mexico on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. ET and will face Louisville on the road on Oct. 10.
