BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University's football program ran through individual drills and then worked through a scripted scrimmage late Saturday morning.

Head Coach Charlie Partridge on Saturday's Practice
- "I'm really excited about the way the guys are working. Obviously the tempo is a challenge, especially the offensive line and they are breaking through barriers, which is exciting. I'm seeing both quarterbacks make some plays, that is fun and they are continuing to get better together which is fun. The defensive line is really performing at a high level. Some of the freshmen that are going into their second year, this is their first spring, they are showing progress this spring also. We are where we need to be for April 2nd, but we have a long until September to become game ready."
Highlights
- Henry Bussey opened the scrimmage with a hand-off from quarterback Jason Driskel.
- Kalib Woods followed with a reception from Driskel that moved the chains.
- Camden Krohn had a nine yard run.
- A Daniel Parr led offense moved quickly down the field on a drive that ended with a deep pass to Tony Thomas.
- Driskel lead a scoring drive that culminated with a pounding run by newcomer Michael Francis
- Defensively, Shelton Lewis came up with an interception that ended the next offensive drive.
- Driskel and Greg Howell used their legs in the next drive with 15 yards coming from Driskel and the drive ending with a 10-yard scoring run by Howell.
- Junior defensive back Anthony DeLuca broke up a pass and just missed hanging on to it for a sure dash to the end zone.
- The Owls worked inside the red zone work and saw Howell score once more. Henry Bussey also fought for a reception, wrestled it away and came down in the end zone.
