Owls Open Conference USA Home Schedule Against Southern Miss

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team opens its Conference USA home schedule this weekend when Southern Miss comes to Boca Raton. This weekend's series will be played on Friday and Saturday.

Last Week: The Owls won all five games last week. FAU defeated Purdue 6-1 and (RV) UCF 2-0 in eight innings in Orlando on Tuesday. Over the weekend, the Owls swept all three games from Middle Tennessee by a combined score of 19-1. Junior Kylee Hanson was named Pitcher of the Week for going 3-0 without allowing a run and a grand total of just six hits.

History: FAU leads the all-time series 5-1. The Owls won all three meetings last season, including a 3-2 comeback win in the finale.
