Florida Atlantic University women's golf team is in second place after the first round of the 12th Annual Start 2 Finish tournament hosted by Webber International University. The team put up a round one total of 298.

The tournament is being held at Lake Wales Country Club in Lake Mary, Fla. The course is a par 72 with a yardage of 5,870. Participating schools include Keiser University, Coastal Georgia, Rhodes College, Faulkner University, Illinois-Springfield, Tennessee Wesleyan, Webber International, Warner University and Ave Maria.

Junior Heather Netti continues her outstanding play this season, as she was the Owls' top finisher at second place overall after shooting a one-under 71. Sophomore Kadi Pallastrone is tied for fifth place shooting two-over 74 after one round.

Next in for the Owls is senior Christina Langer. Langer shot a four-over 76 in round one and is currently tied for ninth place after 18 holes. Daniella Castaneda and Tai Barber are tied for 12th place and 20th place after shooting a 77 and 81, respectively.

The second and final round of the tournament will begin Monday morning, February 22.
