Jason Fitzgerald Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" Florida Atlantic University men's soccer senior Jason Fitzgerald has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team with a 3.58 grade point average.
The Parkland, Fla. native is FAU's leading scorer on the year after earning his third goal of the season on Wednesday against No. 14 Kentucky. The forward has tallied seven points on the season and scored game-winning goals against Niagara and Stetson. Fitzgerald has taken shots on goal in eight matches and fired shots in all but one game for the Owls.
FAU will go on the road to wrap up its regular season at Charlotte on Oct. 29 and at Old Dominion on Nov. 1. The Owls are fighting for position to make their first appearance in the Conference USA Tournament in Huntington, W. Va. starting on Nov. 9.
