FAU Men's Soccer Announces 2015 Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Florida Atlantic University men's soccer has announced its 2015 schedule. The Owls will play nine home matches this season.
"The team is looking forward to the 2015 season and hosting significantly more home matches," said Kos Donev, head men's soccer coach. "We also look forward to working with our team and making progress toward growth and improvement as a team and earning some big wins against very good Conference USA opponents."
FAU will open the season with three exhibition matches with the first at home against Broward State College on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Owls will then face Barry University in Miami on Thursday, Aug. 20 and Nova Southeastern on Saturday, Aug. 22 in Davie.
The regular season will begin with two home matches. The first will be against Jacksonville University on Thursday, Sept. 3 and the second versus Fairfield University on Saturday, Sept. 6. The following weekend the team will travel to Dekalb, Ill. to play Northern Illinois and Loyola on Friday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 13, respectively.
Conference USA play will begin with in-state rival FIU on Friday, Sept. 18. The Owls then go on the road to play Stetson on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in Deland, Fla. and conference foe Kentucky on Sunday, Sept. 27 in Lexington, Ky.
When the team comes back to Boca, they will host 2014 C-USA Champion Old Dominion on Saturday, Oct. 3. This will be followed by another conference match-up against South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. on Friday, Oct. 9. The next week will feature a three-game home stretch including Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday, Oct. 13, Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 16, and Marshall on Monday, Oct. 19.
After facing conference opponent UAB on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Birmingham, Ala., FAU will host University of North Florida on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The regular season will conclude with a match against 2013 C-USA Champion New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 6 in Albuquerque, NM.
The 2015 C-USA Men's Soccer Championship will be hosted by Charlotte on November 11-15 in Charlotte, N.C. For regular season tickets, please call 1-866-FAU-Owls.
