BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team ended its 2015 home schedule with a 4-0 loss to UTSA on Sunday.

The Roadrunners (31-17, 13-7 C-USA) got on the board in the top of the second inning when a base hit, an FAU error and a walk loaded the bases. After a fielder's choice cut down the lead runner, a walk allowed UTSA to take a 1-0 lead. UTSA tacked on another run in the 4th inning with two singles and another Owl error allowed Kendall Burton to score.

UTSA's final two runs came in the top of the sixth to provide the final tally. FAU left 11 runners on base in the loss.

"We were sloppy defensively and left too many people on base, you're not going to be very successful with that formula," said FAU head softball coach Joan Joyce.

FAU (32-16-1, 13-7) will end the regular season with a three-game series at Southern Miss, beginning on Saturday, May 2 with a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. eastern.
