BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 11, 2015) - Kylee Hanson's no-hitter was the highlight of the Florida Atlantic University softball team's doubleheader sweep of Charlotte on Saturday. It was the 24th no-hitter in school history and the first of Hanson's career.

The Owls (28-14-1, 9-5 C-USA) won the first game 3-1. Both teams threatened to score on several occasions, but FAU finally broke through in bottom of the third. After singles by Delaney Rickey, Christina Martinez and Carnesha Thompson loaded the bases, Emily Lochten singled to drive in Rickey and Martinez to put FAU up 2-0.

Tatum Buckley singled to right in the fourth inning, advanced to third on a 49er throwing error and then came around to score on a Lindsey Shell base hit to increase the lead to 3-0. Starter Amanda Wilson gave up a solo homerun in the top of the sixth inning, but otherwise held the 49ers (21-19, 7-7) in check offensively for her seventh win of the season.

FAU won game two 1-0. Lochten provided all the offense Hanson needed with a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning. In the circle, Hanson's 18 strikeouts set a career high. Lochten went 3-for-6 with three RBI on the day.
