Swimming and Diving Announces 2014-15 Schedule

2014-15 Swimming & Diving Schedule
Boca Raton, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving has released its 2014-15 schedule.
"Some of the meets this season will be harder than others, but the mission is to help the student-athletes surpass their goals and help them lead each other toward success," said Lara Preacco, head swim coach. "Our team is dedicated to improvement, and I believe that we can send more than a few people to the NCAA Championships this year."
The Owls will open the regular season with the women competing at FIU on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 12 p.m. The first home meet will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m., where the men will compete against Texas A&M.
The men and women will be traveling throughout November, facing teams including Florida Tech and Indian River State College. FAU will be back in Boca Raton on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. for the FAU Invitational, which will host both Marywood and Old Dominion University.
The two remaining home meets will be on Friday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. against FIU and Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. against IRSC. The 2015 Conference USA Swimming & Diving Championship will be hosted by University of Tennessee from Wednesday, Feb. 18 through Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 in Knoxville, Tenn.
"My personal goal for my first year as head coach is to lead the FAU swimming and diving team toward personal growth, leadership, and success," said Preacco. "I want to increase both the academic and athletic standards of the team and develop role models who believe that those standards are just as important as hard work and moral values."
