Men's Soccer to Play Florida Gulf Coast

Florida Atlantic men's soccer will travel to Ft. Myers to play Florida Gulf Coast (4-5-3) on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
Previous match: The Owls (1-8-2, 1-3-1 C-USA) suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to C-USA opponent South Carolina on Friday night despite dominating the first half and holding the Gamecocks to no score. Freshman Kevin Byrne began FAU's run, heading in his first career goal in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute, senior Deniz Bozkurt scored his first goal of the season and would score FAU's final goal at the beginning of the second half off. South Carolina answered FAU in the 60th minute off a header for a goal. They would go on to score two more to tie the game 3-3 at the end of regulation. Gamecock defender Mahamoudou Kaba scored the game winning goal for South Carolina right off the fingertips of Owl goalkeeper Theo Jamilloux.
History: FAU leads the all-time series 4-2 against the Eagles. They last met in 2013 when the Owls won 3-2 in double overtime. Ryan Price was FAU's leading scorer tallying three goals over 102 minutes of play, including the game winning goal. This win also marked Head Coach Kos Donev's 200th career win at FAU.
