BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will wrap up its tournament schedule at this weekend's USF Invitational.
This will be the final tournament of the regular season for FAU. The Owls won three of their four matches at the JU Invitational and Kristi Tekavec and Ivana Bulajic were named to the all-tournament team. FAU (5-2) will play Purdue at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. The No. 22 Boilermakers (3-2) won both of their official matches this weekend. They outlasted Notre Dame in five sets and swept Bowling Green at the Notre Dame Invitational and lost to a Polish professional team in an exhibition.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, FAU will play USF and Pittsburgh. The host Bulls (3-4) lost all three matches in Omaha, NE last weekend, but won three of their four matches at their first home tournament to open the season.
The Owls wrap up the weekend with a match against Pittsburgh. The Panthers (5-2) swept all three of their matches at the UConn Classic last weekend. Libero Delaney Clesen and outside hitter Jessica Wynn were named to the all-tournament team, while opposite hitter Kate Yeazel earned Tournament MVP honors.
FAU plays USF and Pittsburgh at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. eastern, respectively on Saturday. Free live stats for all matches and subscription based live video for the USF match will be available at gousfbulls.com.
