BOCA RATON, FL -
Florida Atlantic University fans have an opportunity to bring ESPN's GameDay to the Boca Raton campus. For the first time, ESPN will film a College GameDay commercial on the site of a selected campus, based on fan votes. The social media promotion will be open for voting beginning Tuesday, May 1.
Fans can vote once per day for their university at GameDayVote.com via computers or smartphones or using the Facebook app at facebook.com/collegegameday. Fans can keep track of the leading schools throughout the promotion and share the contest with friends on various social platforms to drive votes for their university.
This first-of-its-kind spot will be filmed this summer on the selected campus with student participation, and will air in the fall to promote the 2012 season of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot. The contest highlights College GameDay's unique on-campus presence while building on the successful social vote last season which asked fans to choose a mascot for the ESPN College GameDay Dry Cleaners spot.
Now in its 26th year, College GameDay Built by The Home Depot airs Saturdays at 9 a.m. EST on ESPNU and at 10 a.m. EST on ESPN.
