Czuprynski, Hinds, McKnight and Kelly Earn National Recognition

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's Owls football team had four players nationally recognized by Phil Steele's College Football Preview magazine on the 2012 Midseason All-Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Team.

The magazine, which is one of the nation's most informative preseason football magazines, releases a preseason, midseason and postseason All-American and all-conference teams, named senior offensive lineman Andy Czuprynski to third team. David Hinds, a senior linebacker who leads the squad with 43 tackles and ranks No. 4 among SBC teams and T-55 nationally, was named to the first team while fellow defender and newcomer Jeremy McKnight, a junior safety, earned a spot on the second team. Freshman punter Sean Kelly earned third team special team recognition. Kelly joined the squad at the beginning of the school year and has quickly become invaluable. Kelly averages 41.8 yards per punt and is ranked No. 3 among league teams and No. 48 nationally.

The Owls will play Saturday, October 13 at 8 p.m. at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. The game will be carried on ESPN760AM and www.fausports.com. CSS will broadcast the game live while Duffy's in Deerfield Beach will serve as the official watch party. ESPN3 watchers can view the game here.
